California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure
The Brave Ones is opposed to human trafficking and forced labor at every level of our business and supply chain. The following outlines our commitments under the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act.
Verification
To do business with The Brave Ones, suppliers and manufacturers must represent and warrant that they comply with all laws, rules, and regulations — including those related to slavery, human trafficking, and fair treatment of workers.
At times, The Brave Ones may require a social compliance audit before issuing a purchase order. We are committed to following all applicable laws and impose the same obligations on our suppliers, manufacturers, and partners through our contracts.
Audits
Currently, The Brave Ones does not conduct routine supplier audits specific to slavery or human trafficking. However, we continue to evaluate our options for implementing additional oversight in this area.
Certification
Suppliers and manufacturers must represent and warrant compliance with all laws and regulations in their contracts with The Brave Ones. While we do not require separate official certifications, these contractual obligations are binding.
Internal Accountability
The Brave Ones’ Code of Ethics requires all employees to comply with the letter and spirit of the law and to uphold the highest standards of business ethics.
This includes a strict prohibition against human trafficking, coerced labor, and slavery. Violations of the Code of Ethics may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Training
Employees involved in supply chain management are expected to understand and follow The Brave Ones’ policy opposing human trafficking and forced labor. We are actively evaluating our processes and may implement specific training for operations team members who work directly with suppliers and manufacturers.
